What to Expect from a Spotlight

The BookShelf community is full of curious readers who love discovering new authors. This spotlight helps bridge that gap, offering you a chance to share a little piece of your world while giving readers an easy way to connect with you and your work.

Once you submit your clips, our team handles the editing and formatting, and we’ll share the finished videos on our YouTube channel — and, when appropriate, across social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook — so your stories can reach new readers without adding any extra work to your plate.

How it Works

  • Click the Get My Question button to get your randomly assigned question.

  • Record a short video answering the question (your phone is perfect).

  • Film a separate, short intro video with your name, title, genre, hook, and telling potential readers where to get their copy of your book

  • Choose any bonus questions you feel like answering.

  • Upload everything on the final page and we’ll take it from there.
